As usual, we keep the rooms simple; expect tiled floors, un-fussy furnishings and small decorative touches in keeping with our traditional farmhouse, such as handmade wicker baskets picked up at our nearby market.
Our beds are comfy and fitted with crisp, clean white sheets (we know how important it is to get a good night’s sleep after a long day spent in and out of the water)!
We provide the basics like free Wi-Fi, bath towels, fresh linen and a Quinta decorated with style, care and an attention to detail way beyond the usual ‘surf camp’ or local basic guesthouse. But we should point out we are not a full-blown, 5-star style hotel with 24hr reception, room service etc.
If your surfing/yogi friends had a massive house in the Algarve and invited you to come and stay, it would be a bit like this… we hope.
Our Rooms
We have nine bedrooms available - four ensuite double rooms and five twin rooms with shared bathrooms (located outside of the bedrooms).
Double Room – En-suite
Simple but stylish double room with A/C and an en-suite bathroom.
Twin Room – bathroom outside of your room
Simple but stylish twin room with A/C. The bathroom for this room is located just next to the room and shared with other twin rooms.
*Note - if you are travelling alone and book into a twin room, you will be sharing with another guest (unless you book the whole room). We'll be reasonable and keep it to the same gender.

Rooms are serviced regularly and for families travelling together we can assign rooms next door to one another to keep you together - plus there’s one room that has space to add an extra single bed and/or a cot for a child. Be sure to tell us before you book so that we can make sure you get the right rooms for this to be possible.
Tents
We mentioned our orchard and orange grove, right? Well, for the slightly more adventurous (or budget-strapped) among you, there’s the option of sleeping outdoors amongst the trees in one of our beautiful bell tents.
Fear not – this is no pack-’em-in, camping en-masse situation. Rather, the option to sleep beneath the stars during the warmer months of our season (May-October) and save some pennies while you’re at it.
[Do note - if you are travelling alone and book into a tent, you will be sharing with another guest. We'll be reasonable and keep it to the same gender though.]
Like our rooms, our tents are simple but comfortable.
We’re loath to use the term ‘glamping’, but safe to say we’ve set them up with our usual Soul & Surf eye for detail so it’s not going to feel like you’re roughing it. The luxury bell tents are made from 100% natural canvas: sturdy enough to feel like home for the week; light enough not to become a sweat box.
We’ve fitted them out with natural coir matting, simple and functional furnishings, good quality bed linen, and chandeliers for those candle-lit evening vibes. And we’ve done our best to make sure they’re as mosquito-proof as they come. The tents come with power-points, and we’ve an outdoor toilet and shower block for our campers to use, too.

Our Tents - What People Say
"How beautiful are these bell tents!! Still in love! We choose for the tent and it was just perfect. The luxury of the comfy beds and soft sheets, special boxes under your bed to store your clothes, fresh towels and when you come back from surf, your bed is made. Hotel luxury in a bell tent."
"Me and my boyfriend spent a week here in the bell tent and it was simply perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, the instructors amazing and the quinta totally stunning! We came away feeling so relaxed and super happy with our progress in surfing and yoga. Hoping to book our next trip with S&S soon!! Thank you S&S you legends!!"
"My stay (Monday - Friday) at Soul & Surf Portugal has been amazing and memorable in many ways. The site is gorgeous, and really allows you to disconnect. I slept in a tent and loved it, very comfy. Everything is super well organised, so you can just relax and enjoy the fun surfing sessions planned for you in the morning and then yoga in the evening. I was travelling on my own but quickly made new friends thanks to the community spirit of this place. Last but not least, the food is incredible - healthy and filling - hats off to Rachel and her delicious cuisine."
